Get Started With ENGAGE

The Methodist Mission Southern holds the New Zealand licence and is currently delivering ENGAGE to mokopuna and kaiako across Aotearoa in early learning services. They are on target to deliver to 2,200 early learning services by 2027.

ENGAGE is a highly scalable, culturally responsive, low-cost approach to supporting self-regulation.

Research & Development

Professor Dione Healey’s extensive research on the benefits of self-regulation and designing a framework on ways mokopuna can improve those skills is the foundation for ENGAGE.

Implementation

Methodist Mission Southern, in partnership with Dione Healey and with the support of Otago Innovation and government funding, ENGAGE is currently being rolled out to ECE centres nationwide.

Teacher Training

Providing early childhood teachers across New Zealand with the necessary resources and interactive workshops to integrate ENGAGE into their centres.

Better Futures

Early childhood teachers help mokopuna develop stronger emotional, cognitive, and behavioural self-regulation skills, paving the way for a brighter future.
